About Me

James Nored's Facebook profile
My name is James Nored. I have been married to my lovely wife, Becki, for thirteen years, and I have two lovely daughters-Gina (7) and Emily (4). I have a passion for mission, outreach, Spiritual gifts, people--and Dallas-based sports teams. Though on the latter, I am seriously questioning my sanity with all of these early round exits of the Cowboys and the Mavericks.

I am the minister at the High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas, a suburban church of about 800-900 in North Dallas. I am currently finishing up my Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theologial Seminary in Pasadena, CA, where I commute. I have studied there with incredible missional leaders such as Alan Hirsch, author of The Forgotten Ways, Reggie McNeal, Bob Logan, and Richard Peace.

I like starting missional movements, such as this website, which is designed to bring together people across the world who have a passion for mission. I give Missional Church and Spiritual gifts seminars around the country, and I enjoy writing and developing missional resources. Some of my sites include: www.storyofredemption.com and www.jamesnored.blogspot.com.

Hay James the chilli cook off was great. I set with Kevin and his wife. Then afterward me and Brandon had a chance to fellowship for a little while. I look forward to seeing you tomaorw. I feel the call of GOD to assist you. So you can devote more time to the ministry. I would love to be your assitant. If you have room to bring me on board. I would be greatly blessed to be of maximum service to you. It would bring me great joy to lighten your load so you can devote more time to your pastorial duties. Please pray and consider this. I feel our Father calling me to stand with you. As you build High Pointe for the future.

So to wrap up this great story, Xene and Art came by and we got the bank account changed to Her only and me as a signer.(just in case), recieved a 1500.00 discount off the funeral and The nursing home had the durable power of Attorney paperwork there and help us fill them out and had them notarized. What a day. A good day. We both thanked God and the blessed workers in the community of San Angelo that really helped an elderly lady in need. Then Aunt Lucy wanted a sonic burger and she ate the whole thing.

This is a little long, but you will like it.I am glad to be back. When I arrived on Monday around 5pm, Aunt Lucy looked very thin, and puny. I had prayed off and on during my trip(5 hours) that God would be with me so I would say and do the things that would help her.All the nurses were very pleasant, and the doctor was very nice. They did not release her on Monday ,she was in A fib. The next day I arrived at the hospital around 6am. They released her around 1pm on Tuesday to the Next Step Rehab Center, but there are a few things that happened first. Around 9am she decided she was ready to prepay for her funeral and she also needed to change her bank accounts to take someone off(and this has to be done at the bank in person). and she wanted me to get her a power of attorney form. So like me I just started calling and the blessings from God starting to shower. First I called the bank and spoke to Xene (accounts) I explained the situation(that the other owner on the checking account was taking advantage of my great-aunts money. So she said she would call me back to see if there was anyway she could help me. So then I was off to the Funeral Home. I met with Art and he said he could meet us at the Rehab center and take care of this. Xene from the bank called me back and said she would meet us also at the nursing home. ( I was smiling now) So I got back to the Hospital and then My Aunt Lucy was hungry for Francos. (mexican food) She wanted 3 tacos, she has not eaten in 8 days. Thank goodness for Laren's GPS. She ate 2 of them and they were huge. She wanted to go to the rehab by Ambulance,so we arranged that, She stated" She might as well go 1st class." and I said well its your money, you might as well use it on what you want.
