Hello James

I am indeed a native of South Africa (5th or 6th generation I believe :) and I live in the North West province of South Africa. I am a tour operator in SA but I have also had the immense privelege being involved in Mission outreaches into Southern Africa since 1992. This spans the entire breadth of the region.. i.e. from Namibia in the west to Mozambique in the east and as far north as Malawi. Northern Mozambique has been the area I have extensively worked in since 1999 until present.
I have also been blessed to been involved in Prison Ministry for the last 9 years.
I have a huge passion for Africa and its people and the immense need to share the love of Christ with its people.

Be blessed

Frank

My first book was about the whole Da Vinci Code hoopla. My second book was called Hearts and Minds: Raising Your Child with a Christian View of the World. My third book was a daily devotional called The 52 Greatest Stories of the Bible. My next book is called Apology (it's about having conversations when we disagree over issues of faith & morality).

I write about the intersection of theology, psychology and philosophy. I consult w/ churches who want to create more relevant and engaging environments, and I coach preachers on scope and sequence issues relating to their preaching calendars.

Oh, and that is how I became connected with theobloggers through Brad Palmore.

Yes, I will definitely upload some pictures...sorry, this has been a crazy week, so I will try to get some up soon and tell you more about your ministry here!

Thanks for this opportunity-I always love making connections and hope I can also be an encouragement! :) Blessings~

Well, I have never actually met John in person...but I still consider him a good friend...I "met" John, along with people like Steve Tucker, Brad Palmore, Brian Nicklaus, Chris Gallagher, Cecelia Tanner, Paula Harington, etc. about a year and a half ago through twitter, blogs and John's online "coffee house" and they have been a tremendous blessing! Many of them, including John even helped send me to China on the first trip and some are supporting me now! It is amazing the community that has been created and I have been extremely blessed by it!! I love John and really hope I get to meet him and the others one day. We were supposed to meet at Tulsa last year before God called me to China...and obviously won't be there again this year due to being in China. Some day! :)

John and I were college roomates and have been friends since he was 17 and I was 18. We have had the blessing of working together on a number of projects and living close to one another for a number of years here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His wife and I are also distant cousins...

James,
The elders at BRCC said that the date (April 9/10) is ok for the Spiritual Gifts seminar. We've got it on the calendar. Let me know again what all we need to do to prepare for it. Prayerfully looking forward to your return,
Richard Blaisdell.
Is the best way to communicate with you through MON?

What am I most passionate about in ministry ... wow... that should be an easy question to answer, right? My first impulse is to say Preaching ... but I also love sharing ideas and conversation. Essentially my only talent is running my mouth. ;)

A group on music and worship would be great. Every individual thinks differently about music. It's hard to pick the BEST Hillsong CD ... I usually think the newest one is best. That would be Faith+Hope+Love. However, This Is Our God is among my favorites that I keep in my truck. I generally have all the Hillsong CDs on an iTunes playlist and so I hear them all.

Oh how I wish I could afford the time off for the Tulsa trip this year...but it just isn't doable as long as I am driving a school bus. The weekend was a real blessing for me. Thank you, again, for making it a reality!
