Wendy Woodward grew up as an atheist in China, but happened to go come to the US and study at Abilene Christian University. There she met some Christian friends who shared Christ with her. She was interested in learning American culture, but actually moved away from ACU to get away from these Christians.

At UT Dallas, she attended a Let's Start Talking/FriendSpeak program, a ministry which helps people better their English by reading from the gospel of Luke. Through the course of these sessions, she was baptized by David Woodward--who is now her husband. And her story continues to grow, as her mother has been baptized by David as well.
