"What would it mean to see a child struggling with math end the school year receiving A’s? What length would you go to help a son or daughter who doesn’t like to read develop a love of books? Over the years we have seen all of this and more at our Helping Hands Volunteer Tutoring program."

This comes from the intro to an article in the local paper.
We offer a tutoring program for children in our school system each year. Typically we see children in the lower grades who need help with reading while older students need help with math. We like to have them come to our church building because it helps us connect them to the church and why we do this, Jesus Christ.

We have seen several renew their commitment to Christ over the years. All you need are willing members and some space.

Darin, thank you so much for reaching out to your community and helping in this way. Reggie McNeal says that every church ought to adopt a school to really get embedded in its community, discover the needs, and find ways to serve. It looks like you guys are doing this.

Have you invited your members to join this network? I'd love to "meet" some of them online.
