http://www.10news.com/news/19562217/detail.html This is a disturbing story about a small group study. A local DJ mentioned this in the morning news and I had a hard time believing it until I checked it out. The story showed up on Drudgereport this morning.

Good grief. That's a ridiculous premise, and I can't imagine it standing up for even a minute. And if the problem is too many cars on the street, there's ways to go about that that don't involve the county government.

It is my impression that there is more to this story than meets the eye. I am certain that the city is handling this badly. I wonder if there are 15 cars in the street and it's making the neighborhood difficult to get through, more dangerous for kids on bikes and such, driving onto people's lawns... I could see how a weekly meeting could be a nuisance in the neighborhood. I do not think this is a major bigleague deal. Maybe I'm wrong.

Here is the link to Mike's story, Couple: County Trying To Stop Home Bible Studies Yes, this is disturbing. We applauded cities like New York from effectively banning porn shops and the like in New York City through zoning regulations. But it looks like the same type of thing can be done to Christian assemblies.

What would it do to our faith if we really had to work hard at meeting together? Would we take it less for granted? Would we be willing to drive more and be inconvenienced more? Would we take our faith more serioualy? This seems to be what has happened to Christians in China. Before communism - 2 million Christians. Now - 60-80 million Christians.
