Dear brother in Christ,

Uchenna Bekee has asked that I contact you with respect to Hidden Treasure Christian High School. I have included some material that outlines our background with the school. It is more than just a worthy cause-I am sure that you get many requests for help, just as we do here (We have an attendance of 35). The difference in this case is not only our long contact with Uchenna and his family, but also there is no other help at present, and if the school is to survive, the government requirements of land, sports equipment, and teacher's pay must be met. Present sports equipment for the 70 children amounts to one soccer ball and one other ball. Uchenna makes a strong case for the need to train these disadvantaged children. I am sure you have seen the website and other pictures. Uchenna willingly provides a budget and income/expense statements for the current academic year. The School has four Christian brothers for oversight, and the School's bank account is also under oversight. I highly recommend the School to you, and to the brothers and sisters there.

> Our small congregation has provided support to the Bekee family for over 20 years, dating back to Uchenn'a's father, Stephen Bekee. We give a small support to Stephen's widow, Gladys. We have been trying to give support to the School, with its 70 students and 9(?) teachers, but our means are very limited, especially since we are trying to find a way to support a full time preacher here. We have a Sunday AM attendance of about 35-40.

> One of our members, originally from Ghana and now a professor at the University of Connecticut, visited the family a few years ago, and gave us excellent recommendations. We also know a brother in Searcy Arkansas, brother Glen Boyd, who has visited and knows Uchenna and
> the family. He also has agreed to act as a conduit for support funds. We have sent some support by bank transfer directly to the school's bank account, which is overseen by the four directors of the School. One can also send moneygrams to Uchenna.

> Uchenna has prepared a budget for this academic year, and a statement of income and expenses so far this year. Perhaps he has sent these to you. You will see that we, with one other brother, are presently their sole source of support. For accreditation the school needs to establish a permanent location. We are particularly pleased that the children in their first three terms have done very well in the State examinations. The teachers seem to be doing an excellent job, even with no desks and chairs for them to sit down in their first year. As you can see from Uchenna's budget and income/expense report, there are many great needs. We think the web site is excellent, also. He has probably sent recent pictures of the children and teachers to you.

> May the Lord bless you for your interest in this good work, Please call me at 860-429-3587 or write at the above email address if you have any questions at all.
