Faith Based Development Ministry for Christian Education

HIDDEN TREASURE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS

VISION
The vision of HTCHS is to raise up tomorrow's Christian leaders whose spiritual and academic backgrounds will be stable and profound. We are looking at saving the unchurched children, their parents, and the entire neighborhood. We wish to build an institution were Christian will be the watchword. An enclave were excellence would be empowered by the fear of God. We wish to take Christianity in Rivers State and beyond to another level through the appreciation of the three Hs, Empowering the Head, the Hearts and the Hands.
MISSION
To provide scholarship in secure and mentored environment. To serve, empower, and save the greater population, and to turn them to Treasure.
MOTTO
“Citadel of Excellence Empowered by God”.
A Faith-Based Development Project for Christian education (HTCHS) began as an outgrowth of Evangelist Uchenna Bekee's concern regarding academic growth, Christian conduct, and the continuity of the faith of our fathers. Hidden Treasure Christian Schools seeks to provide activities to assist the well-rounded development of each student, using Jesus' development in Luke 2:52 as our model. “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man”. Intellectual growth is stimulated through academic training; physical growth is provided through various physical activities; and spiritual growth is fostered through religious training and worship periods. Students at HTCS are encouraged to give their full effort in these areas. This missionary school is founded to assist poor families within the church and the entire community who could not afford to send their children to public school or private school.
HTCS philosophy rests on the moral principles found in the Bible and the democratic traditions and values of our Nigerian Society. The educational goals therefore, seek to help each student become the best he or she can be in life. The program of HTCS should rest on the following statement of values.
Hidden Treasure Christian Schools is founded upon a firm belief that the Bible is the verbally inspired and inerrant message of God to mankind. Likewise, it is the unwavering conviction of this institution that Jesus is the Son of God, who is set forth in the Scriptures as our example for living. The Bible is accepted, therefore, as the only true standard by which to measure attitude and behavior of both adults and children. HTCS has been established to provide both the atmosphere and training most conducive for developing well-educated and faithful Christians. Every member of the administration faculty and staff is committed to live by and to teach the Bible.
At HTCHS every student is looked upon as being made in the image of God, and possessing the potential which is unique to his or her own individuality. Every purpose and every activity of this school is aimed towards helping each student grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).
GOAL:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it”. Proverbs 22:6.
That's our goal at Hidden Treasure Christian High School in Oyigbo Rivers State. Since September 14, 2007, HTCHS has provided refuge for 100 children. Many have been neglected, rejected and abused. Through no fault of their own, they suffer from the ills of dysfunctional families. Emotionally, they are torn apart.
Our goal is balance – a time to fulfill responsibilities and time to play, time to work and time to worship. This balance provides the children with security and structure in their lives. This stability is something they might never have experienced, if it were not for HTCHS Children's' Home. We discovered the great danger done to our children who by reason of the poverty state of their parents, attend denominational schools where they are being taught falsehood and at the end of the day, they turn to the denominational churches. Hidden Treasure was born to serve, to save, to educate and to nurture the child for an eternal reward.
Admission Policies:
HTCHS is open to any qualified student regardless of race, color, national origin, sex or religion (except as necessitated by specific religious tenets held by institution). Children enrolled must be two years old by September 7th of the current year to attend the four-year-old pre-kindergarten; six years old by September 7th to attend the Elementary; 10 years old to attend the three years of Junior – Senior Secondary Education.
Children are basically enrolled from the churches of Christ, and from the communities. We visit homes, marketplaces, and the streets to recover these helpless and hopeless children to enroll them in the school so that their lives can have meaning.
We wish to take Christianity in Rivers State and beyond to another level through the application of the three H's Empowering the Head, the Hearts and the Hands – per excellence
Head + Hearts + Hands = Empowered Child.
