LST is still one of the best resources for doing short term missions. Have you considered forming LST teams specifically for your Honduras needs. Also Mission Resource Network has a lot of general information available.

It is amazing to hear stories about how our parents transformed our hearts to think missional. The truth is my parents love Christ and I spent many summers at Impact Church of Christ in grade school and this process has continued to this day. I also participated with LST in college at LCU and went to Moscow, Russia. (How do we help parents have a heart to raise their children and teens to be missional?) (Many thoughts to go with this, I will start a discussion for this alone.)

We are finalizing our trip to Honduras this summer with Mission Lazarus. We are taking a few teens and several young adults. I look forward to hearing their stories of their fist time international mission experience.

I grew up going in the summers with my parents on Let's Start Talking (LST) mission trips, and then went on my own to Eindhoven, Holland, in college. i think that they have a great strategy of helping people learn and better their English by reading from the gospel of Luke.
