Are you looking for work? In today's bad economy, many good, hard-working people are struggling to find a job, including many Christians. And yet, often Christians know of jobs or are in a position to hire others. Ever heard of six degrees of separation? We are all connected to someone!

This group helps to connect those who are out of work with those who are looking to fill an open position. We are also here to share resources and support each other through the job transition. If you are currently unemployed, please post your resume and describe what you are looking for in your next endeavor.

For those of you who are currently employed, you are our biggest resource. We would ask that each of you visit with your HR Departments to find out about current or potential opportunities within your company. You may post job openings or a link on this site, as well as view resumes posted on this site. We would also ask that you share posted resumes to those in your network.

The loss of a job is an extremely stressful time for everyone. A lot of times it hard to ask for help or to even know what to do for a friend or loved one who is unemployed. This outreach program is the best way we can help each other, brothers and sisters in Christ to build each other up in faith and make our Christian family stronger.

Kristie Allen, a member at the High Pointe Church of Christ, will be helping to match people and resumes up for High Pointe members. If you would like to contact her directly, you can email her on this site or at kristieallen@mac.com.

Yesterday afternoon I met in person for a late lunch with Rick the owner of a very small but stable software company (they only have 1 product) and I was offered a job as a developer/production support/Crystal Reports/business analyst/etc. This is after my first email from a job website saying someone was interested in my resume on July 19th and 2 long interviews with him and then 2 more long technical interviews with 2 other people. I have not signed any paperwork yet, but that should happen in the next 2-3 days. I will be starting on 9/01/2010 and am so relieved to finally have a job. These last 17 months have been a time of both trials and growth. From the beginning with Rick finding my resume, this has really been out of my hands. They should have never found my resume among the thousands that are on that website, but they did. It wasn’t anything I did, but He did it.

The past 17 months have been both very difficult, but at the same time life changing. I know that the changes I have started making, would not have been made without the difficulty that I have gone through since getting laid off. Last May my church, High Pointe Church of Christ, joined a ministry that is actually worldwide, called Celebrate Recovery. We started out with 2 leaders, but one of them had to start traveling about 90% of the time. In January they asked me to replace him as a co-leader. After much pestering, I finally said yes. Last week I was in California for 4 days at the 12th Annual Celebrate Recovery Summit conference. My church paid for and sponsored me and my co-leader to attend. During that time I wrote a blog post each day. I thought that you might like to read it. Maybe someone you know could benefit from Celebrate Recovery. There are over 600 CR groups that meet in the U.S. alone. It is a non-denominational Christian recovery program for people who have hurts, hang-ups, or habits that they want to overcome. When you get a chance please read my posts about the Summit. They are listed in reverse order so you will need to start with the 1st post entitled “August 11, 2010 – Celebrate Recovery Summit 2010 - Day 1”. Whatever you do, you really don’t want to miss my last post entitled “August 14, 2010 – Celebrate Recovery Summit 2010 - Epilogue”.

I'm a grateful beliver in Jesus Christ...
My name is Bryan.

Hi Dale,
It was great to hear from you. Unfortunately, I'm not able to assist you in a search outside of the US. If you were looking for an opportunity here in the US, I would be able to point you in the right direction and/or introduce you to various professionals and companies. However, the Inspired Outreach for the Unemployed Group is mostly a support and networking group for those facing the challenges of being unemployed during this turbulent time. I wish there was more I could do to assist you. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.
I wish you the best of luck in your search.
SIncerely,
Kristie

help help looking for Job I received your contact information from Eric Asante, who is a dear friend of mine. I am a US citizen, volunteering in Sierra Leone. I have a strong desire to come to South Africa and work. Eric implied that you might be able to assist me in obtaining a position in South Africa.

I have served as a manager for over 15 years in private industry, government and non-government organizations. Many of my employees have considered me to be an excellent manager due to my personal commitment to the growth and dedication of an organization. As a manager I take the necessary time to ensure that each one of my employees are equipped with the skills needed to implement their program successfully. This includes monitoring and analyzing the impact the employees are having within the program/project, while providing necessary feedback.

Over the years I have produced financial reports for donors, congress and senior managers. I have remarkable skills in preparing projections for budgeted activities and monitoring expenditures and making necessary adjustments. These skills have been developed in each management position I have held from Business Development Director to Director of Finance. Working for Save the Children I gain experience with USAID funding and ensuring that my programs met donor requirements and I was able to participate in a peer review for additional funding and the closure of a project. I am a proven capacity building manager by conducting training with physicians, health care facilities, partners, and indigenous NGOs. At save the Children in S. Sudan, I reviewed and updated the safety and security plan and briefed all employees on the security plan for the area. My communication skills are excellent, partners with SC have submitted reference letters commenting on my
professional and personal communication skills (these reference letters will be provided upon request). I am committed with humanitarian efforts across the world. After hurricane Katrina in my home town I worked diligently to get a local hospital up and running as the lead person, I developed policies and procedures, hired and trained employees, and secured funding for operations. I have volunteered and worked in post conflict areas and understand the needs and I am committed to the capacity building of developing countries. I am very sensitive to culture differences and each community/village I have worked in I have learned the local language and assisted with community events to show my commitment to the community in which I work and live. My Masters degree is in management which I am have skills with Microsoft Office applications.

If you have a position in which my skills and knowledge will benefit, please email me or contact me at +23276236012.

Sincerely,

Ms. Dale Clayton

About American Majority

American Majority Incorporated is a non-profit, non-partisan political training institute whose mission is to train and equip a national network of leadership committed to individual freedom through limited government and the free market. Advocating true federalism, American Majority believes that national change begins at the state and local level. Toward that end, American Majority will build a national network of leaders and grassroots advocates who aspire to increase freedom for individuals and freedom in the marketplace.

Established in January 2008, American Majority is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization with the Internal Revenue Service. Headquartered in Purcellville, Virginia, the organization has state affiliates in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Texas, and intends to open offices in more states in 2010 and beyond.

American Majority was launched with initial funding by the Sam Adams Alliance, an organization which strives to educate and inform citizens about the important political issues necessary to maintaining a free society. In the process of their work, the Alliance recognized the strong need for public servants and activists who ascribe to those principles. Consequently, it chose to help establish American Majority. Private citizens and foundations fund the continuing work of American Majority.

American Majority specifically advocates for a reversal of the seat of government power and a return to true federalism, wherein states and localities hold the great majority of everyday government exercise. We desire to see greater:

Freedom for Individuals
Property rights strengthened through the reduction or elimination of property taxes is an example of this principle advanced.
Educational freedom expanded and the power of the unions reduced or removed from our schools is an example of this principle advanced.
Freedom in the Marketplace
Lower corporate taxes are an example of this principle advanced.
Reduction of government spending and waste is an example of this principle advanced.
