<p>Leadership is a funny subject. There are many different types and standards of leaders inside and outside the church. Sometimes it is not about who a person is as a leader but what another person as a follower is looking for in and for themselves that dictates things - poor leaders can manipulate these things greatly.</p>

<p>Another thing that I think needs to be embraced more is the fact that <em>all</em> of us as Christians are to work towards being leaders. It may not be that we are heading a church, but actions and roles such as leading a family, raising children, mentoring/discipling those younger than us, or simply acting as a mature role model and/or witness of the faith all require us to act as strong leaders with differing expertise. </p>
